Prototype processes have come a long way, but always consider how you will prototype, along with the process you use to make the final parts.

This phase should give you a working prototype, although sometimes more fragile, so you can put the product in your hands and the hands of others - specifically someone interested in marketing, purchasing, patenting or selling the product. This is how you put a face on the product, so you can verify the design and make changes as necessary.
