ABOUT CES: company profile

CES was founded in 2002 when many companies were downsizing their engineering departments. The idea was to fill the engineering gap that downsizing can create, and support new product design and product redesign for tech companies. While many of the first projects were for small, medium and large companies, projects eventually migrated toward the entrepreneur. Now, with a majority of the projects from individual creative thinkers with good ideas, CES has established the product design process to map out and guide every project.

Combine this with an established network of qualified suppliers and you have the recipe for success. With over 20 years of product design and production experience, CES has worked in high tech company environments with large teams of engineers, and with entrepreneurs making us just a two person team. With a wide variety of clients from different industries, CES enjoys new experiences with different design challenges. This makes CES the best partner to have, since we bring those experiences together.

We design your product around real processes with innovation and unique patentable features that give you the edge. We even think of the modular aspects of the product for future products. Taking creative license is an every day event at CES.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering and specifically consumer product design, CES has the computer aided design skills and tools to create the files necessary to manufacturer your product. We use ProEngineer to design products using standard process like injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal forming. ProEngineer allows us to communicate all over the world, no matter where the production supplier is. With suppliers in the USA and ASIA for prototype and production, CAD data defining your product is key to a good recipe. You need a properly prepared recipe (your CAD database) so we document your product design with 2D drawings, and 3D CAD files.

With a good recipe, you have the best chance of getting what you want, no matter the supplier. Retaining an experienced product design engineer, like CES, assures a creative design with proper revision controlled documentation that can be manufactured by a qualified network of suppliers.
